I'm Patty Haling, a retired Family Nurse Practitioner, and Functional Medicine Health Coach from Charlottesville VA. For the past 40 years, I have devoted my life to helping patients transform their health by changing their habits and getting to the root cause of their diagnosis .
I am also a practitioner and teacher of Vedic Meditation, the ancient technique that quickly de-excites your nervous system, brings your mind to a level of supreme inner contentedness and gives your body 5x more rest than sleep. A regular daily practice of Vedic Meditation releases decades of stored stress from the physiology and can actually reverse your biological age over time.

Why Practice Vedic Meditation?
Over the past six years, the easy, effortless practice of Vedic Meditation has transformed my own health and life. This is why I travelled to India at the age of 65, to complete Initiator Training with my teacher Thom Knoles and bring this 5000 year old technique to my patients.
​Vedic Meditation is a simple and effective technique for achieving deep relaxation and mental clarity. It involves the use of a specific mantra which means "mind vehicle". The mantra, which is silently repeated during meditation brings the mind from the business of everyday life into a state of calmness and heightened awareness. This practice is rooted in ancient Vedic traditions and can only be taught by a qualified "Initiator" who has been properly trained in the tradition. With regular practice, Vedic Meditation can lead to profound changes in both mental and emotional health.
